Man Sentenced to Life Without Parole for Murders Committed on Unlicensed Marijuana Grow

Golden justice scales in front of law books

On February 9 2024, Wu Chen entered a plea of guilty to four counts of Murder in the First Degree and one count of Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon. He was sentenced to life without parole in each count for the murders of Quirong Lin, Chen He Chun, Chen He Quiang and Fang Hui Lee and twenty years for assault with a deadly weapon.  The incident occurred west of Hennessey in Kingfisher County at an unlicensed marijuana grow in November of 2022.

“I am very proud of the work done by Assistant District Attorneys Austin Murrey and Jimmy Bunn, Jr. and Assistant Attorney General Jimmy Harmon for seeking justice for the victims who lost their lives. This case should serve as a reminder of the dangers surrounding illegal marijuana activity in Oklahoma.” Says District Attorney Tommy Humphries.

“We also appreciate the efforts of law enforcement officers of the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to secure today’s result. Today’s plea ensures Wu will be locked up for the rest of his life.”
