Our mission is to protect the public by vigorously prosecuting violent crime, protecting and serving crime victims, and diverting appropriate offenders to treatment while maintaining the highest levels of efficiency, ethics and professionalism to ensure that the communities we serve remain healthy and safe.
The District Attorney (DA) is your local champion for justice. Picture them as a lawyer working for the entire community.
They work closely with law enforcement to evaluate evidence and decide if there’s enough to charge a suspect. If so, the DA files charges, and then prosecutes the accused in court.
Throughout the process, the DA keeps victims informed and fights to ensure they have a voice in the courtroom.
The DA makes every effort to hold offenders accountable, deter crime, and protect the public from harm.
