Tommy Humphries is the District Attorney for DA District 4, which includes Blaine, Canadian, Garfield, Grant, and Kingfisher Counties. About the Diversion Hub
Diversion Hub is dedicated to reducing Oklahoma’s high incarceration rates by filling critical gaps in support for those involved in the criminal legal system, including justice-involved individuals in Canadian County. The nonprofit organization provides life-stabilizing resources, case management, justice navigation, and other key programs that empower individuals and families to exit the system and achieve stability out in the community.
Position Summary
The DA Supervision Officer will perform a variety of administrative and case management tasks in support of the District Attorney’s diversion programs and prosecution functions. This position serves as a critical link between the DA’s Office and the Diversion Hub, ensuring that justice-involved individuals in Canadian County receive coordinated oversight and that case records are accurately maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize document management systems to organize and maintain client and case records efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with the public, court partners, and colleagues, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Perform clerical and administrative duties including data entry, filing, document preparation, and proofreading.
- Track client compliance with diversion program requirements, probation conditions, bond conditions, and court-ordered appearances.
- Coordinate with case managers, justice navigators, attorneys, judges, and court clerks to support smooth case workflow.
- Assist with pre-trial and probation compliance monitoring and maintain timely, complete records for each client.
- Submit required program activity reports, communicating relevant data, client updates, and changes to supervisors and partners.
- Handle confidential and sensitive case information with the utmost discretion and in accordance with all applicable laws and agency policies.
- Collaborate with Diversion Hub staff and community partners to ensure clients receive appropriate services and referrals.
- Maintain a supportive and open attitude towards diversion opportunities and the ability of justice-involved individuals to change their trajectory with the right support.
- Perform any other duties within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the position.
Position Requirements and Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate degree or equivalent, plus a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field such as criminal justice, social services, public administration, or a similar human service area.
- Working knowledge of the criminal legal system, court processes, and case management practice preferred.
- Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with individuals of diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, demonstrating sensitivity and respect.
- Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple deadlines, balance competing priorities, and maintain accuracy.
- Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite, cloud-based file sharing platforms, and client database software.
- Embodies the following work habits: self-starter, reliable, collaborative, respectful, accountable, ethical, and able to multi-task.
- Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance.
- Valid driver’s license, personal transportation, and current vehicle insurance in accordance with state law, as the position may require site visits.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be required to sit for extended periods and must be able to talk, hear, stand, walk, and use hands to operate computers and office equipment. The ability to lift and move items of up to 25 pounds may be required. This position is co-located at the Diversion Hub in Canadian County and may require occasional travel within the district.
